Qiongzhou University (QZU) focuses on international cooperation and exchanges and makes every effort to encourage exchange programs and visits at all levels as a key initiative for its going global strategy. The University actively encourages a global vision by providing unique and valuable experience for students and researchers from all over the world to interact across national, cultural and linguistic borders.
The internationalization of Qiongzhou University includes but is not limited to:
• promoting engagement with other countries / regions: Educational Aid Center for Africa and Asia, Ministry of Education, China; University of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (USCO); China-ASEAN Education Cooperation
• international collaborations on research, education, conferences, and organizations: Hainan-Austria Tourism Bachelor Degree Program; QZU-Hofstra U “3+1” program; USCO Master Degree Program
• coordinating diplomatic contacts with and makes representations to relevant countries and regions
• foreign experts recruitment and service
• Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan affairs
• international educational and internship experiences for students

The Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges functions as a gateway to internationalization of Qiongzhou University (QZU). The office provides assistance to faculty, students and staff on international affairs, and serves as a source of information about QZU’s global engagement.

Overview
The Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges is responsible for developing coherent solutions to promote QZU’s international relations, global profile and international competitiveness. The work of the office is broad. It includes but is not limited to such issues:

• promoting engagement with other countries / regions
• international collaborations (research, education, conferences, and organizations)
• coordinating diplomatic contacts with and makes representations to relevant countries and regions
• foreign experts recruitment and service
• Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan affairs
• promoting Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools
• international educational and internship experiences for students

The Office can provide information, advice and guidance to colleagues within the University on existing collaborations with overseas institutions and opportunities being developed for international engagement.

The office also provides information to outside contacts and often acts as a first point of contact for overseas institutions wishing to visit QZU in order to discuss potential future collaborations at the institutional level.
